When you introduce your child to the joys of art during their formation years, it can help them in many ways. For one, art can develop their sense of creativity. It can also teach them how to become patient, focused, and confident in their work. They can then apply the same characteristics during their years in Montessori School in Jessup, Maryland.
Providing your little one with a sketchpad or drawing book along with coloring materials is a good start. You can also show them photos of things that they can imitate as they use their crayons or coloring pencils on their pad.
There is also art in folding white or colored papers. It’s commonly called origami. Teaching your child how to fold a piece of paper and transform them into a bird or other figures can help improve your child’s thinking skills. It also provides them a sense of accomplishment, boosting their self-esteem!
In our Montessori Preschool in Maryland, we believe that art always plays a role in children’s lives. As such, we establish art activities that enable each child to participate.
